Book # 18

The last book that I managed to finish in November is, Waiting For You by Susane Colasanti. She also wrote Take Me There which was book number 17.
My own copy of the book, bought at the warehouse sale.

This book is about a girl waiting for love, waiting for life to start, and waiting for her anxiety to stop. I liked this book much better than Take Me There, which is a little different in style. I like that this book offers the reader more than one relationship, it's not all about girl-girl friendships, or boy-girl dating, or boy-girl friendships. It's about all of them, and how as a teen you can have many relationships that are different and complicated, but that still work. I like the reality of her books, her characters aren't always the popular ones or the dorky ones either. She brings a realness to her characters, which is probably from her time being a science teacher to teenagers. Observation in these instances is key. Susane Colasanti writes books about teenage love, life, hardships, problems, friendships, etc. I used to love books like these from authors like Sarah Dessen, Meg Cabot, Ann Brashares, Megan McCafferty, etc. I think that now I have grown up and I'm not as interested in these, but they are easy and fast reads which make them nice sometimes. If you like teenage drama novels, then Susane Colasanti is for you, if you don't then maybe wait for me to read a different author.

    Waiting For You by Susane Colasanti is about Marisa, a sophomore who is looking for love, and finds it in the last place she suspects it. The book is a typical teenage love story. The heroine falls for the wrong guy, while the underdog gets his heart broken. Then, the heroine realizes her mistake and falls in love with the underdog, who turns out to be the perfect guy for her. This book was very similar to any other teenage love story.

Just recently, I was turned down for the Teach For America position, that I spent long months applying and preparing for. I can't say that I wasn't disappointed to read the generic "Sorry you did not get it" letter they sent me. So Lost...

For so long I have been focused on getting a full time job, and now that I have that I am once again focusing on my future. Questions just keep plaguing me like: "What am I going to be doing in a year?" "Will I go to grad school?" "Will I get a teaching job?" "Will I stay at my current job?" "Will I get another job somewhere?" And now I just can't seem to get these questions out of my head. I feel so lost.  I don't know what to do, where to apply, how to find new opportunities. Book Sale!!!!!

     Right now on this website  there is an awesome book sale! They are selling books 5 for 15$ with free shipping! It is a selection of kids books, fiction, non-fiction, classics, and new titles. There are about 2000 pages of books to choose from! You can also get more than 5, what I mean is that you can get 10 for 30$, sometimes websites allow only 1 set of books for a sale to be sold at one time.     The best part about this website, is that when you purchase books from there they donate money to organizations that help people read, give books to children, and support literacy everywhere.
